I group classes in seacoast NH & Maine but my true passion lies in working 1 on 1 to create meaningful change.

First I want to say that handstand is a Hard pose, capital H Hard. And we are not exactly friends, handstand and I. I am not the kind of yogi who could pop into an inversion the first time I tried it. I’m the kind that has had to work hard for every arm balance I’ve mastered. Once you can do them they usually look pretty easy – which is why I stick to taking pictures of the ones I’ve mastered. But it’s no help to anyone just to see a staged photo of me kicking up into a handstand that I can only hold for a second. My hope is that it’ll be more helpful to share with you what I’m doing as I’m working towards handstand.read more
Yoga students are always asking me about the right way to do yoga and, me being the questioner that I am, have a really hard time committing to absolutes. In general I don’t like saying things like “never” or “always” or “100% of the time do x”. There’s just so much to take into consideration, and so much that I don’t know.read more
Halfway Lift (Ardha Uttanasana) is one of my favorite poses! But I look around and it seems like most of the room is just trying to get through it and onto the next thing. I understand it’s not much to look at but there are so many great benefits to doing this pose well.
One of my favorite authors, Gretchen Rubin (and she’s only half my favorite because we share names :P) says “what you do every day matters more than what you do once in awhile”.read more
